The Tom Corbett vs. Tom Wolf debate is intense and
each one is trying their best to get the votes of the people. The election that will decide the new
governor or the same will take place on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. The two
candidates goes against each other head on into somewhat of one of the biggest
match of the year. They both have the same names but they have different
opinions.
The new guy Tom Wolf is a moderate liberal populist,
he has democratic views and is praised by many. By the count in the polls, Tom
Wolf would take the lead by a mile, according to a Franklin and Marshall College
poll. The biggest issue on hand right now is about the subject of education as
most people recognize Corbett as the educational budget thief. Corbett's
famously known for the cutting of one billion dollars from education.
Apparently, that's a lie to Corbett as "the cuts were already there."
However, to Wolf, it's merely a sad but true truth. A truth that will get him
to the top. But surely Corbett has many other strengths, or why would he even
go for election? His strength lies in his assciation with the healthcare
buisness. Corbett had won the approval from the federal government for his "Healthy
PA" plan which is in fact a plan that "subsidizes private insurance coverage using Medicaid expansion
dollars available to states under the 2010 federal health care law"
(timesleader). Tom Wolf is has
contrary opinions regarding education as he believes education is valuable to
the US. He plans to restore the money to education. He also believes in
increasing the minimum wage to help strengthen the economy. What else can this
man do? Corbett also believes that climate change is not going to have an
immediate effect, so he wants to take time in solving the issue? Like What?
Wolf on the other hand wants to take immediate action in solving the problem.
He does not want to sit around and see what the end of the world looks like. He
wants to take action. Corbett does however, want to stop increases in taxation,
like that's going to help his case. In the end it's either Tom Wolf or Tom
Corbett but most probably Tom Wolf. See ya next time.

Wolf's views on severance tax for frackers are hopeful. It will be interesting to see if he keeps his promises.
